his project ‘Innovative Ecosystem with Artificial Intelligence for Andalusia 2025’ , financed by the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge, Companies and University with two million euros from ERDF funds in the framework of the program of initiatives to promote R + D + I and knowledge transfer.

The launch of this project has materialized in a presentation ceremony held at the Marie Curie Technoincubator of the Cartuja Science and Technology Park (PCT Cartuja), which was attended by the general director of Research and Knowledge Transfer, Pablo Cortés, with the vice-rector for Knowledge Transfer of the University of Seville, José Guadix, and the general director of the park, Luis Pérez.

The proposal projected by the universities of Seville and Malaga, entities that lead Andalucía Tech, is the best valued of the six unique projects presented by the Campus of International Excellence and financed with six million euros in a first phase of granting aid. The second phase is already projected for this first four-month period of 2020 and includes incentives worth another 6 million until completing a total of 12 from the ERDF Andalusia Operational Program.

Among the objectives of the actions financed by this Operational Program, the promotion of business investment in R&D and the development of links and synergies between companies, research centers and higher education institutions stand out, emphasizing those actions that help foster investment to develop products and services, technology transfer, social and ecological innovation, public service applications, networking and open innovation through smart specialization, among others.
